Sydney Treads the Catwalk - Released!

The sequel to Ivan Dixon's Sydney Finds Employment has been released.

Sydney Treads the Catwalk finds our lackluster hero fighting to save his television show, "Better Homeless Living." It seems the rating are low and the big man himself, Mr. Corps, has given Sydney an ultimatum: get the viewers or get lost!

Sydney 2 in production

"Sydney, a bum turned star, finds his new career in the media has hit a hiccup when his television show doesn’t receive the ratings it expected. Keith Corps (head of Business Corps) warns Syd that if he can’t even compete with the fashion channel he’ll be forced to axe the show and throw the lovable tramp back on to the streets. After stumbling onto a string of suspicious accidents within the fashion industry Sydney and his friends uncover a mystery that could cost them their lives or worse- their limbs!"

Sydney Treads the Catwalk, the sequel to the AGS game Sydney Finds Employment, should be the best adventure game of 2007! With Ivan Dixon on the pixels and myself with the tunes, it'll be good times had by all. Read the production thread at the Adventure Game Studio forum as well as Ivan's own blog

SFE: The Original Soundtrack

All the music I created for the indie game, Sydney Finds Employment, is now available and uncut for your listening pleasure over at SoundClick. Kudos to Ivan for creating the cd cover which will eventually be printed out as a cd envelope to be distributed as promotional offerings, gifts for friends, and whatnot.

Check eet!

In other news, I'm sick yet again. Down with the flu because I decided that cuddling with my sick little 20 month old niece was a better idea. Curse that devil child! It's been a long time since I've puked up this much liquid. Water is NOT my friend. Anyways, I won't go into any more detail.

Sydney Finds Employment: Finally released!

Sydney is a bum. And he's a bum with a problem. A new policy set in place by a joint venture between the political parties, churches and big businesses to rid the streets of homelessness and unemployment sparks the catalyst for this adventure game.
Part comedy and partially a message to the public about the problems on the streets, SFE is a highly entertaining and visually appealing adventure in a style long forgotten by modern gaming.
With story, coding and graphics by Ivan Dixon (aka iSTVAN) and music by Steve Larabie (aka Pixelblink aka me), this is an all out PixelJoint admin showcase! Not to mention it features 100% pixel graphics.

Mr. Magnet's Electro Madness

Last weekend I took part in the 72hr Game Development Competition. Teams of up to 3 join up and create, from complete scratch, a workable game based on a theme that gets voted upon. Granted, I didn't get into a team until the middle of the competition so I had my work cut out for me. This time around the theme was magnets. 25 games were submitted for the event and there are some excellent games to be played, particularly the Team Calypson game. Amazing art! Download our game (under Wizzard Creations) at the 72hrGDC download page

Check out my version of our game in this neat little mockup:

I'm also still finalizing all the music for Ivan Dixon's game, Sydney Finds Employment (SFD), an old school adventure platform game about a homeless guy on his quest to put an end to the "final solution" and find his place in the world. Part comedy and partially a message to the public about the problems on the streets, SFD is a highly entertaining and visually appealing adventure... not to mention the awesome music (wink).
Here's a screenshot of the music... just for silliness' sake:
